How to Share Pages Using Record URLs

You can share links to pages in Vault Campus through record URLs. A record URL is a persistent link to a specific content page. Use this link in your learning management system, web page, or email to share a page with students and faculty. You can also use record URLs to bookmark pages in Vault Campus. Vault Campus includes record URLs for almost all pages on the site, including rankings pages, profile pages, and blog article pages. 

 

Note: Record URLs do not work correctly in some versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint because these versions interfere with the Vault Campus authentication process. If a user clicks a record URL, the URL will not re-direct correctly. 

 

To use record URLs:

  1. Copy the record URL from the bottom of a Vault Campus page.
  2. Paste the record URL onto a page in a learning management system, website, or email. The link will provide students and faculty with direct access to that Vault Campus page. Users who are not logged in to Vault Campus when they click on a record URL will first be prompted to log in before they are re-directed to the correct page.
