Films Media Group Video Master Specifications
Chris Plapp, Last modified by Chris Plapp May 22 2017 09:14 AM

The following specifications are intended to be used as a guideline for providing Films Media Group with the best possible quality masters, while allowing us to process your content in the most expeditious manner possible.  Failure to provide programs in the preferred methods below will result in processing delays and deprioritization of content.

Metadata:

To expedite video processing, we ask that you download and complete the attached metadata template.  You may download a copy of the metadata template at the bottom of this article.  We require your filenames to be matched up with each title you are submitting.

Closed Caption Files:

We gladly accept existing closed caption files for your submitted titles.  Providing caption files for your titles will further help to expedite the processing of your content.  The list of currently supported caption file formats we can accept are located here:  Caption file supported formats for import.

Additional Resources:

Any additional materials such as teacher guides, worksheets, handouts, promotional stills, press kits, reviews, DVD packaging, etc are encouraged. We request that you name these files to match the video filenames and include them on the same drive as the video files or provide an online link to download.

Company Logo:

Please email us a high quality 300 dpi image file containing your company logo (EPS, JPG, PNG, TIFF).

Shipping Instructions:

All masters and additional materials should be sent directly to Acquisitions Traffic Manager Supriya Sasne, using a prepaid shipping method that includes tracking numbers.

Unless specified in the contract, we will keep your hard drive or tape for the duration of the agreement. If you would like your materials returned, you must provide a prepaid shipping slip or courier account number. UPS and USPS are our preferred couriers.
